Suggested Children Books

When it comes to quality literacy resources, I refer to Isabel Baker’s, The Book Vine for Children website, www.bookvine.com.  Even if you cannot afford to purchase books from her site, at least you can read the book descriptions and review her recommendations.  You can also keep yourself in the loop by visiting www.naeyc.org/yc/columns, The Reading Chair by Isabel Baker.  Her article is printed in NAEYC’s journal, Young Children, every month.  Typically, Isabel gives a presentation at the NAEYC conference every year.  So if you are attending the conference next month, make sure that you register for The Book Vine Event.
